Replacing Maize with Cassava in Catfish Feed
Sponsored by the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Dr. Abu's doctoral research demonstrated that whole cassava root meal could replace maize in hybrid catfish diets — dramatically reducing feed costs for Nigerian farmers without compromising growth or fish health.
This research has been cited in subsequent studies and directly informs the cost-effective feeding strategies we recommend to our consultancy clients.
